The 70 Series Land Cruiser is one of the most capable tow vehicles ever sold in Australia. Caravan, boat, horse float, work trailer, camper, or anything else hooked to the back. The factory ball point that comes from Toyota does the basics, but for serious regular towing what you actually want is a chassis bolted heavy duty tag tow bar with rated capacity, a standard receiver hitch, and the build quality to handle uneven loads on corrugated roads year after year. Fitting the right tow bar before your first big tow is the move.
HEAVY GAUGE STEEL, RATED HARDWARE, STANDARD RECEIVER
Each tow bar in this collection is fabricated from heavy gauge steel with a powder coated black finish that survives mud, salt spray, and stone strikes for years. The bar bolts directly to the 70 Series chassis rails using factory mounting points and rated bolts. No welding, no drilling, fully removable for service. The standard 50mm square receiver accepts every common Australian trailer hitch plus a wide range of accessories like recovery shackle mounts, weight distribution hardware, and load carrying mounts. Wiring harness kits are available as add-ons for trailer brake controllers and trailer lights.

This collection covers tow bars for the 75 Series ute and Troopy, the 76 Wagon, the 78 Troop Carrier, and the 79 single cab and dual cab. The rear chassis configuration changed across the HZJ, VDJ, and GDJ generations, so tow bars are matched to specific body and year combinations.
