70 Series Land Cruiser Towing Mirrors

See What Is Behind Your Trailer

The factory mirrors on a 70 Series are fine for everyday driving but the moment you hook up a caravan, boat, or wide trailer they do not give you enough vision down the sides to see past what you are towing. Blind spots open up that make lane changes, reversing, and navigating tight roads genuinely dangerous. MSA 4x4 Towing mirrors extend your field of view outward so you can see the full length of your trailer, the rear wheels, and what is happening in the lanes beside you. In most Australian states, towing mirrors are a legal requirement when the trailer is wider than the vehicle, so they are not just a safety upgrade but a compliance one as well.

Extendable and Replacement Mirror Options

This collection covers both clip on extendable mirrors that attach over the factory housing and full replacement mirrors that swap out the factory units entirely. Clip on extendable mirrors are the most affordable and versatile option, fitting over the existing mirror and extending outward when you are towing then folding back flush when you are not. Full replacement towing mirrors provide a larger mirror face with built in extension capability, giving you a cleaner look and a more permanent solution if you tow regularly. Both options are available with features like electric adjustment, heated glass, integrated LED indicators, and convex blind spot sections depending on the model.

Towing Mirrors for the Full 70 Series Range

Towing mirrors are available for the 79 Series single cab and dual cab, 76 Wagon, 78 Troop Carrier, and older 75 Series models. The factory mirror housing is shared across the 70 Series range for each production era, so mirrors are grouped by year model rather than body style. Both the VDJ V8 (2007 to 2023) and GDJ facelift (2024 onward) are covered, and the mirror housing changed with the facelift so make sure you select the correct option for your model year. If you are towing anything wider than your vehicle, fitting proper towing mirrors should be the first thing you do before hitting the road.
