If you've added a tray, canopy or GVM upgrade, the mirrors bolt to the factory door mount and are unaffected by anything happening behind the cab.

VDJ79 V8 VERSUS GDJ79: KNOW YOUR ERA BEFORE YOU ORDER

Toyota changed the mirror housing at the September 2023 facelift, so fitment splits cleanly into two eras. Pre-facelift mirrors suit the 4.5-litre V8 VDJ79 single cab and dual cab built up to September 2023. Facelift mirrors suit the GDJ79 with the 2.8-litre four-cylinder from October 2023 onward, which carries the redesigned housing. The two won't interchange, so check the build date on your compliance plate and match it to the year range on each listing.
