DRIVELINE, HUBS, AND AXLE PARTS FOR THE 70 SERIES
WHAT FAILS UNDER REAL LOADS, AND THE PARTS THAT REPLACE IT
Driveline components on a 70 Series take serious abuse. The front and rear axles, hubs, CV joints, universal joints, and tailshafts all carry the loads of a vehicle that tows heavy, drives loaded, and frequently runs on dirt. Over time the seals fail, the bearings wear, the splines hog out, and the hub flanges crack. Replacement and upgrade driveline parts in this collection cover the components that wear out from regular use, plus the heavy-duty options that touring and towing owners reach for when the factory part has reached the end of its service life.
OEM AND HEAVY DUTY REPLACEMENT PARTS
Most components in this range come in OEM-spec or heavy-duty configurations. Free wheel hubs are available in manual or auto-locking versions, with billet steel options for serious off-road use. Universal joints and CV joints use chromoly construction in heavy-duty form for higher angle and torque capacity. Wheel bearings are sealed cartridge units rated for the loads a fully-loaded 70 actually carries. Axle seals and gaskets are matched to the specific differential model fitted to the vehicle. Stub axles and drive flanges are billet steel where the factory unit was forged.
FITS HZJ, VDJ, AND GDJ DIFFERENTIALS
Driveline parts are matched to the specific differential and axle fitted to the vehicle. The 70 Series uses different front and rear differential models across generations and engine variants. Each listing confirms exact diff model, body style, year range, and engine code before you order. Some heavy-duty components also suit the 60, 80, and 100 Series Cruisers where the same diff is fitted. The collection covers both the popular 9.5 inch rear and 8 inch front diffs used across the modern 70 family.
